Equity
Your share of the pot based on your chance of winning the hand.
Equity is your percentage chance of winning the pot if the hand were played to showdown from the current point. If you are 60% to win a $100 pot, your equity is $60.
Equity drives most decisions: you compare it to the price you are being offered (pot odds) to decide whether to call, and you bet to deny opponents the chance to realize theirs. "Equity realization" describes how much of that raw equity you actually capture, which position and skill strongly affect.
